About K-LAB Foundation

K-LAB 사업단은 한국형 팹랩*인 K-LAB(Korea Fabrication-Laboratory) 운영을 통하여, 메이커 양성 및 메이커 창업 문화 확산에 기여하고 있습니다. 개발도상국에 메이커 문화 확산을 통하여, 스타트업 창업을 육성하고 개발협력의
효용성 증대하며, 현지 실정에 맞는 창업 아이디어 발굴과 사업화를 지원함으로써 디지털 인재 육성에 힘쓰고 있습니다.
The Korean Fabrication Lab (K-LAB) is initiative by the Ministry of Science & ICT of Korea and National IT Industry Promotion Agency in partnership with the TIDE Institute and Korea Engineers Alliance.
The mission of K-LAB is to train Young Generation in Myanmar to share the advanced techniques and knowledge with Digital Fabrication Machines such as 3D Printer, Laser Cutter and CNC Router so they can make almost anything.
The K-LAB will provide Education Programs and Management Mentoring Services for Myanmar’s Young Generation and Start-ups with the K-LAB programs.
TIDE Institute

“A collaborative hardware startup ecosystem that encompasses business support and maker experience roles.” Founded in 2011, TIDE Institute has ever since supported competitive hardware startup companies. TIDE has since created and has run a digital fabrication lab equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC routers called Fab Lab Seoul. Initiated in 2013 as the first of its kind in South Korea,Fab Lab Seoul has collaborated with TIDE for TIDE’s multi-layered programs for tech entrepreneurs, from workshops and mentorship programs to legal and business-related consulting. In addition, TIDE has also hosted various startup-related events such as Startup Springboard that offers lectures from leading entrepreneurs and mentorship by experts from various fields of businesses.
Korea Engineers Alliance

– 창업지원센터 및 기업가정신교육 프로그램 운영
– 창업지원센터 이관 관련 업무 수행
Korea Engineers Alliance is a participating organization of the K-Lab Program. KEA provides assistance in administration invitational seminar, and mentorship/internship for Myanmar students
